All Trove items are designed in Melbourne, Australia and crafted in China using traditional Lacquerware methods. Traditionally it was custom for jewellery boxes to feature gold and intricate inlays - this is something we have chosen to replicate with a modern touch.
All Trove luxury jewellery boxes have been painstakingly designed and manufactured to meet the highest quality standards. The boxes are wooden and are painted with two lacquer base coats, two coats of pure colour, followed by eight layers of lacquer to provide the high shine finish. This is a time honoured process that has been followed for centuries to produce lacqerware that holds its shine. Box linings are made of the highest quality faux suede and all hardware is brass plated. The boxes also feature the softest foam available and hidden magnets to provide soft closure.

Care
All Trove lacquerware pieces are handcrafted and like a careful touch, to polish off any marks use a soft clean polishing cloth . Avoid slamming the lid and be gentle with the trays. Lacquerware scratches easily so avoid placing lacquer on rough surfaces. And avoid harsh chemicals and detergents.

Yes. But please be careful when choosing as exchanges or refunds for change of mind cannot be offered. Returns can only be accepted within 30 of receipt and all returned items must be without wear and in as shipped condition. For any return please email customercare@trove.store with ‘Return’ and your order number in the subject field along with the details for your return. If your return is accepted you will be emailed a return number and shipping instructions. Return shipping is to be paid by the purchaser.
In the rare circumstance that there is a fault with your Trove piece, please email customercare@trove.store and we will find a solution, usually either to repair or replace. In the event of a faulty item, Trove will cover the shipping.

Sustainability
We are currently working towards using FSC certified wood for our boxes. We are aiming to have certification for our wood from the end of 2020. FSC forest management certification confirms that the forest that has produced the wood is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.
Where ever possible Trove uses recycled products for any packaging and marketing collateral produced. We stand against throw away culture and are endeavouring to make products that will stand the test of time and be handed down through generations. We recognise that sustainable business practices are a journey not a destination and will continually try to improve.
